Zeolyst is a leading producer of zeolite powder and catalysts (standard and custom) and is located in Delfzijl in the north of the Netherlands.
CTC Tankbouw was asked to supply a total of three vertical storage tanks for this customer, conforming to EN 14015.
One vertical storage tank holding 190,000 litres (diameter 4,500 mm) for storing NaY (zeolite) slurry and two vertical storage tanks holding 60,000 litres (diameter 3,700 mm), for storing 50-50 caustic soda and sodium silicate.
The tanks are constructed from S235J2 steel and coated on the outside with a single coat of primer and one topcoat.
All three tanks have a hot-dip galvanized handrail conforming to EN 14122 and are lined with 100 mm insulation.
The main bodies are clad with stainless steel 304 plating, the top levels with hard PIR080 plates and two layers of glass-fibre reinforced cladding (for sure-footed access).
Owing to its huge dimensions, the 190,000 litre tank was delivered by boat.
