Commissioned by Ballast Nedam, CTC Tankbouw supplied two double-walled underground fuel storage tanks, conforming to EN 12285-01, for Shell Boortmeerbeek.
One storage tank holding 50,000 litres (diameter 3,000 mm), plus one storage tank holding 40,000 3,000 mm in diameter, with three compartments.
The tanks are constructed from S235JR steel, and coated on the outside with a single layer of Endoprene 868.06 polyurethane(minimum 1 µm).
Hoist work is always carried out in accordance with the strict safety requirements imposed by Shell.
