Biodiesel Kampen’s main business is the production of biodiesel from waste streams. Biodiesel Kampen B.V. uses mostly waste frying oil and fat collected and processed by UCO Kampen B.V. in its business.
Due to the ever-increasing demand for biodiesel, Biodiesel Kampen decided to expand its existing tank park with 10 vertical storage tanks of 620,000 litres each, each 22 m tall and 6 m in diameter. Biodiesel Kampen entrusted the supply of these 10 large storage tanks to CTC Tankbouw because of the advantage that CTC Tankbouw can construct and finish these vertical tanks, which are usually built on site, entirely in the workshop, including external insulation, so that all that needed to be done at the Biodiesel Kampen site was the installation. Each tank also includes a PED-approved steam coil at the base with a riser pipe running against the inside tank wall. This was a huge logistical challenge for CTC Tankbouw, because these dimensions correspond to the maximum capacity at our current production site and because the storage tanks had to be delivered and installed in one go.
Thanks to the hard work of everyone involved, CTC Tankbouw also succeeded in bringing this project to a successful conclusion.
